So the whole world will know...

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the mission. The motivation to spread that gospel is the worship of God. We here at Spray want the whole world to know who Jesus is and his plan of salvation.

We have several ways we give to missions, work on local mission projects, and commission missionaries out to the full-time mission field. Check out the links below and some of our current mission projects.

Women's Missionary Union

Our very own ministry here at the church that meets regularly to promote the propagation of the gospel and brainstorm creative ways to raise money for missions.

North American Mission Board

This is the national arm of the Southern Baptist Convention that leads the charge in planting churches and starting permanent outreaches all across North America. We raise support for NAMB through the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.

International Mission Board

The world needs Jesus and there are millions who have yet to even hear the name of Jesus. The IMB has commissioned over 3,500 missionaries across 155 countries. We support the IMB through our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.

CURRENT OFFERING

The North Carolina Missions Offering brings relief to those in need through disaster response, church planting and mobilizing of N.C. Baptists for missions. Generous donations through NCMO fund the mission throughout the year.  It’s a powerful way to be on mission together and to “live sent.”  Which is this year’s theme, "Living Sent,” based on John 20:21: “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, I also send you.”  This offering is our missions emphasis for the month of September.  Offering envelopes are available in the pews.  And, the Week of Prayer for it will be August 31 to September 6.  To learn more, click here.

CURRENT MISSIONS COLLECTION

We are collecting items monthly for the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.  A box is in the hallway outside the sanctuary for donations.  In October, we will be taking up money for postage and children's literature for each shoebox.  Donations will be collected in the church office.  They may be mailed to the church or placed in the offering plate (please label for Operation Christmas Child).
